Sasso & Company is excited to announce that we will be presenting our Spring performance series, Days Gone By this May at The Dance Complex Julie Ince Thompson Theatre in Cambridge!
This season, the company has been hard at work in the studio creating brand new, world premiere choreography exploring the Buddhist belief in dukkha; one of the Four Noble Truths.
What is dukkha? How is it portrayed in Days Gone By?
Roughly defined, dukkha is the pain and suffering of daily life; the desire for more; the exhaustion of monotony. Inspired by conversations with peers, clients, and strangers, Sasso & Company explores the idea of dukkha and other aspects of the human condition and how they relate to our individual journeys through life.
Days Gone By will showcase three world premiere pieces as well as fan favorite company repertory. As part of the company’s mission to create a greater sense of connectivity in the Boston dance community, Sasso & Company has the honor to be presenting movement collaboratively created with B-A-R Dance!
We are excited to share with you our collective exploration of dukkha. We invite you to take part in our journey and read a bit more about our performances. We cannot wait to see you in the audience!!
